LKMS Robotics Club – Parent Orientation – Thursday September 4th , 2014

Parent Orientation (bring your students as well) meeting on September 4th , 2014 at 6:30 PM at the LKMS TechEd Lab. We will discuss the following at the meeting and kick start our 2014-2015 year.

1) I will provide an overview of the program
2) What kind of parent involvement we are looking for
3) Finalize the cost per person
4) Finalize the teams and team names
5) Finalize the day of the week we meet.

2014 – 2015 Robotics Club

We meet twice a month  from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and additional meetings will be scheduled as we get closer to competition.  Fall semester we will concentrate on FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (www.usfirst.org/fll).

 

Cost: Partially Funded by the LKMS PTA (remaining based on student participation and number of teams could range from $50/- to $100/- the fall semester

PTA COAT DRIVE

GIVE THE GIFT OF WARMTH! Lime Kiln PTA invites you to participate in the Pupil Personnel Workers & PTA Council of Howard County Annual Coat Drive during the month of October. Your donated items will help students and families in our school communities. Items needed: New or gently used boys, girls, teens and adult sizes of coats, hats and gloves. All items must be clean, with zippers and buttons functioning and ready to wear. Donations can be dropped off at the donation box located inside of the Lime Kiln Middle School office October 1st through October 23rd. Thank you in advance for your continued support! Giant Grocery Store’s A+ School Rewards Program – Simply register (or re-register) your Giant card by logging on to their website at http://www.giantfood.com/aplus or call 1-877-275-2758 to register over the phone.

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education (TIE) Program – – Simply link (or re-link) your VIC card. You may do so at the register, the Customer Service desk, online at http://www.harristeeter.com or over the phone by calling 1-800-432-6111.

Safeway’s eScrip Program – – Purchase any items with the school bus logo until September 11th (10% goes back to the school) and give all receipts to: Catherine Meshkin, Lime Kiln PTA Silent Fundraising Chair, 7706 Water Street, Fulton, MD 20759. Participate in the eScrip Program year-round by logging on to http://www.escrip.com to register. Lime Kiln’s School ID is 6528500.

The PTA General Membership Meeting is Wednesday, September 25, 2013 @ 6:15pm followed by Back to School night.  We will introduce the Executive Board and approve the 2013-2014 PTA Budget.  Please join us!!

It’s that time again!!!  Our fall fundraiser will run from September 4-27, 2013.
