It’s Back To School time at LKMS

School starts on Tuesday Sept. 4, 2018! The LKMS PTA would like to welcome all students and families back for the new school year. Representatives of the PTA will be at the open house and back-to-school nights to answer any questions and accept membership applications. A welcome letter with information about the PTA and an application will be in your LKMS back to school package, or you can download it here:

Annual membership dues for the LKMS PTA is $20 per family and can be paid by check or via Paypal through the LKMS PTA portal here.

Im addition to dues, the PTA helps fund programs through a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. If you would like to help by giving a direct donation, please download this form or visit the direct donation page.

Here is a list of important events happening before and after the first day:

  • August 30 – 6th Grade and New Student Orientation – 1:00-2:30pm
  • August 30 – Open House – 5:00-6:30pm
  • September 13 – Back to School Night – 6:30pm

The Lime Kiln Middle School PTA is pleased to announce the final list of nominees for election to the LKMS PTA Executive Board:

The following members have agreed to return for another term so no vote on those positions is necessary:

PTA Council HC: Cindy Baker & Kristi Deluliis

We thank every volunteer for their willingness to serve. Elections will be held at the LKMS PTA General Meeting at 7:00 p.m., May 16, 2018, in the LKMS Media Center.

In addition to elections, the PTA will also vote to accept the new bylaws. The current bylaws and a draft of the proposed bylaws can be found on this website under the Forms and Documents tab under Bylaws.

If you have any comments regarding the candidates and/or the proposed bylaws, please email Kim Griffith, PTA President, by midnight, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at lkmspta@gmail.com. The ballot and the draft bylaws will be closed for comment on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Any comments or requested changes to the draft bylaws received before May 10, 2018, will be discussed at the General Meeting before the vote.
