PTA COAT DRIVE

GIVE THE GIFT OF WARMTH! Lime Kiln PTA invites you to participate in the Pupil Personnel Workers & PTA Council of Howard County Annual Coat Drive during the month of October. Your donated items will help students and families in our school communities. Items needed: New or gently used boys, girls, teens and adult sizes of coats, hats and gloves. All items must be clean, with zippers and buttons functioning and ready to wear. Donations can be dropped off at the donation box located inside of the Lime Kiln Middle School office October 1st through October 23rd. Thank you in advance for your continued support! PTA MEMBERSHIP

PTA membership is an important way to support the school. Membership is just $20 per family and funds teacher, student, and family programs. Sign up on the LKMS PTA website http://www.lkmspta.org/ ]www.lkmspta.org and use Paypal!

SILENT FUNDRAISING

There are so many easy ways to earn money for our school – simply by doing things you are already doing! Please consider participating in one or more of the following programs (instructions on how to do so are included in each section):

Giant Grocery Store’s A+ School Rewards Program – Simply register (or re-register) your Giant card by logging on to their website at http://www.giantfood.com/aplus or call 1-877-275-2758 to register over the phone.

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education (TIE) Program – – Simply link (or re-link) your VIC card. You may do so at the register, the Customer Service desk, online at http://www.harristeeter.com or over the phone by calling 1-800-432-6111.

Safeway’s eScrip Program – – Purchase any items with the school bus logo until September 11th (10% goes back to the school) and give all receipts to: Catherine Meshkin, Lime Kiln PTA Silent Fundraising Chair, 7706 Water Street, Fulton, MD 20759. Participate in the eScrip Program year-round by logging on to http://www.escrip.com to register. Lime Kiln’s School ID is 6528500.

Clip Box tops. We will be sending in a batch on October 25. The box is in the front lobby of LKMS by the benches. We batch the box tops in baggies of 50 – so if you are collecting them please send them in this way. LKMS receives 10 cents for every box top and they really add up.

In addition, please encourage friends and relatives to register for these programs as well. Also, please note that regardless of whether or not you have participated in any of these programs in the past, you must RE-REGISTER each year.

Monday, Nov. 4: 4 p.m., Board Meeting; 7:30 p.m., Attendance Area Adjustment Public Hearing II
Friday, Nov. 15: 10 a.m., Attendance Area Adjustment Work Session II
